Job Responsibilities:
As an Experienced Technical Writer, you will be responsible for:
- Writing technical documentation for builders and cloud architects constructing solutions for their own personal Google Cloud
- Producing and curating content supporting clients
- Editing, clarifying, and proofreading files written by others, and training non-writers on ways to enhance their writing capabilities
- Working with a global team of Engineers, Product teams, content strategists, and other technical writers to ensure seamless collaboration and knowledge sharing
Key Skills and Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience in technical writing
- Strong understanding of HTML, Markdown, or Unix environments
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, continuously evolving environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Experience with content management systems (CMS) and version control systems (VCS)
- Familiarity with Google Cloud products and services is a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
* Master's degree in Writing, Engineering, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in technical writing
- Experience with content strategy, content marketing, and user experience (UX) design
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and Scrum framework
- Certification in technical writing or a related field
