Job Summary

We're seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Remote Customer Travel Support Specialist. In this role, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to travelers, assisting them with their travel inquiries and issues. This is a remote position that offers flexibility and the opportunity to work from the comfort of your own home.

Responsibilities

As a Remote Customer Travel Support Specialist, you'll be responsible for:

  • Responding to customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat in a timely and professional manner
  • Assisting customers with booking travel arrangements, including flights, hotels, and rental cars
  • Providing recommendations and guidance to customers on travel destinations, activities, and accommodations
  • Troubleshooting and resolving customer issues and complaints related to travel services
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction by going above and beyond to meet their needs and expectations

Key Performance Indicators

* Respond to customer inquiries within 2 hours of receipt

  • Achieve a customer satisfaction rating of 90% or higher
  • Resolve customer issues and complaints within 24 hours of receipt
  • Meet or exceed sales targets for travel bookings and revenue

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Previous experience in customer service or hospitality industry (1-2 years)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in using customer support software and tools (e.g. CRM, ticketing systems)
  • Familiarity with travel industry software and systems (e.g. GDS, PMS)

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working in a remote or virtual environment

  • Knowledge of travel industry trends and developments
  • Certification in customer service or hospitality industry (e.g. CSEP, CHT)
  • Fluency in multiple languages
