Job Summary

As a Chat Moderator, you'll be responsible for ensuring that our online community remains a safe and respectful space for all users. This will involve monitoring chat activity, enforcing community guidelines, and resolving conflicts in a fair and impartial manner. You'll work closely with our team to develop and implement community policies, and you'll be responsible for reporting any issues or concerns to our management team.

Key Responsibilities

* Monitor chat activity on our official Discord server and enforce community guidelines to ensure a positive and respectful environment for all users

• Delete messages made by users that violate community guidelines
• Ban users who have multiple and repeat violations of community guidelines
• Mute users who have violated community guidelines
• Investigate reports made by users about violations of community guidelines
• Collaborate with our team to develop and implement community policies
• Report any issues or concerns to our management team

Qualifications

* Must be 18 years of age or older

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED
• Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
• Familiarity with Discord and online community management tools
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working in a community management or customer service role

• Knowledge of community guidelines and moderation best practices
• Familiarity with online safety and harassment policies
• Experience with conflict resolution and mediation
• Strong understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion principles
