Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Data Engineer to join our team of talented professionals. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data pipelines, architectures, and applications that support our business operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including data science, engineering, and product management, to ensure that our data solutions meet the needs of our customers and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop scalable data pipelines, architectures, and applications that support our business operations
- Collaborate with data science, engineering, and product management teams to ensure that our data solutions meet the needs of our customers and stakeholders
- Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, data set frameworks, and tools for continuous and batch processing
- Work with data science teams to integrate data and models into automated processes
- Develop and maintain data stores and data models to support information science and other internal clients
- Ensure data quality and accessibility by incorporating data from various sources and adhering to data quality and openness standards
- Investigate current data technology conditions to identify and evaluate key capabilities and suggest solutions
- Explore and recommend new tools and technologies to optimize data solutions given the requirements directed by the model/use case
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in data engineering, data science, or related field
- 5+ years of experience with SQL
- 5+ years of experience with Python
- Experience with cloud-based platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
- Strong communication, decision-making, and critical thinking skills
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with Hadoop, Hive, or PySpark
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
- Experience with healthcare industry data
- Experience with agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
Skills and Competencies
* Strong understanding of data engineering principles and practices
- Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and data governance
- Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, and other relevant languages
- Experience with cloud-based platforms, including GCP, AWS, and Azure
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
