Job Summary
As a Data Entry Associate, you'll be responsible for processing incoming healthcare claim forms, capturing and validating complex data, and working under close supervision to meet deadlines and accuracy standards. This is a remote opportunity, and you'll have the flexibility to work from the comfort of your own home. Key Responsibilities
* Capture and validate complex data from incoming healthcare claim forms
- Image classification and indexing of documents
- Pre-adjudicate documents and correct data as required
- Verify data from automated data extraction tools
- Utilize various systems to work on assigned tasks
- Complete assignments using multiple source documents to verify data or use additional information to do the work
- Work within established procedures and practices
- Work under close supervision to meet deadlines and accuracy standards
Requirements
* Must be able to type at least 45+ WPM with high accuracy
- Proficient computer skills, including MS Office and internet research
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines while performing functions with high accuracy rate
- Maintain or exceed 4,000 ksph for numeric and 2,500 ksph alpha/numeric with less than 1% error rate
- Basic knowledge of medical claims form processing preferred
- Experience working through VPN connection
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older
- Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Must be able to clear any necessary criminal background checks or drug screenings
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working in a data entry or healthcare claims processing environment
- Knowledge of medical terminology and coding systems
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs) and practice management systems (PMS)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
