Job Summary

The Provider Data Entry Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of provider demographic and contract affiliation information within the health plan system. This role demands meticulous attention to detail and efficiency in processing incoming requests to optimize claims adjudication. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for receiving provider information from external sources, validating the provided information, and accurately updating provider records in our computer system.

Essential Functions

* Receive and process incoming requests for provider information updates, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in data entry

  • Validate provider information received from external sources, using knowledge and experience to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Accurately update provider records in our computer system, emphasizing precision and timeliness
  • Conduct regular audits of loaded provider records to ensure quality and financial accuracy, providing documented feedback when necessary
  • Support system/health plan integration efforts, including training existing staff and new hires
  • Assist in system-related testing activities, ensuring seamless integration and functionality
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, adhering to arenaflex's policies and confidentiality requirements

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

* Exceptional attention to detail, with a strong focus on timeliness and accuracy

  • Proficiency in data entry, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access
  • Ability to learn internal systems, particularly QNXT, with a willingness to adapt and learn new technologies
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with coworkers, clients, members, providers, and customers
  • Adherence to arenaflex's policies and confidentiality requirements, with a strong understanding of Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective work relationships with coworkers, clients, members, providers, and customers

Required Education and Experience

* High School Diploma or equivalent GED

  • 1+ years of managed care experience, with a strong focus on data entry and provider management

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working in a healthcare setting, with a strong understanding of health plan systems and provider management

  • Proficiency in QNXT or similar health plan systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively
