Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Benefits Customer Service Representative to join our remote team. As a key member of our support team, you'll be responsible for providing compassionate and accurate support to our members via phone, email, and instant message. You'll work closely with our clients to understand their needs, resolve issues, and provide clear explanations of complex plan information and processes. Key Responsibilities

* Build rapport and respond to customers in a compassionate manner, consistently meeting commitments via phone, email, and instant message

  • Customize customer service approach to meet all types of member communication styles and personalities while maintaining professionalism and diplomacy during difficult calls
  • Handle confidential information with sensitivity and discretion in accordance with HIPAA and Data Privacy laws and company data security requirements
  • Skillfully translate health and welfare and pension terms, complex plan information and processes into simple explanations and instructions that customers can understand and act upon
  • Read and understand clients' plan documents and online knowledgebase tools while collecting relevant information to determine immediate requests/questions and to anticipate the future needs of the member

Requirements

* High School Diploma or GED

  • Various experience, preferably in Customer Service or Call Center
  • English speaking candidates or Bilingual in Spanish or French (Paid 0.75 Cents more if Bilingual, Fully Fluent in Spanish or French)

  • Proficiency in using technology, including CRM software and online knowledgebase tools

  • Strong customer service skills, with a focus on empathy and understanding

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working in the benefits or insurance industry

  • Knowledge of HIPAA and Data Privacy laws and company data security requirements
  • Bilingual in Spanish or French
  • Experience working in a remote or virtual environment
