Job Responsibilities:

As a Full Stack Software Engineer in our Big Data team, you will be responsible for:

Programming Development:

+ Design, code, and deploy cutting-edge software solutions using a range of programming languages and technologies. + Participate in code reviews and automated testing to ensure high-quality code. + Troubleshoot critical software components and identify code gaps for remediation. + Enable the deployment, support, and maintenance of software across test, integration, and production environments. + Automate solutions in test or production environments. + Scale applications based on demand projections.

Leadership:

+ Lead a small team of engineers and inspire them to reach their full potential. + Impact colleagues with innovative changes and enhancements by challenging the status quo and taking calculated risks.

Collaboration:

+ Work closely with cross-functional teams to design and develop software applications. + Participate in client story analysis and elaboration, design and development of software applications, testing, and automation tool development. + Collaborate with other engineers to identify opportunities for creative advancements.

Key Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.

• 3+ years of experience in software development and leading teams of engineers and scrum teams.
• 3+ years of active experience working with Hive, Hadoop, and Spark (core, SQL, and PySpark).
• Strong data warehousing concepts.
• Knowledge of financial reporting environments is an asset.
• Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience with cloud platforms like GCP/AWS, building microservices, and agile development methodologies is an asset.
• 3+ years of experience with planning and building solutions using Kafka streams or queues is an asset.
• Experience with GitHub/Bitbucket and CI/CD pipelines is an asset.
• Experience with NoSQL databases like HBase, Couchbase, and MongoDB is an asset.
• Excellent technical and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Phenomenal project management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience with cloud platforms like GCP/AWS, building microservices, and agile development methodologies.

• 3+ years of experience with planning and building solutions using Kafka streams or queues.
