As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be part of our Provider Services group, where you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact on the lives of our members. Key Responsibilities
As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for:
- Answering incoming phone calls from health care providers and identifying the type of assistance they need
- Resolving issues on the first call by navigating through complex computer systems to identify the status of the issue and provide an appropriate response to the caller
- Delivering information and answering questions in a positive manner to facilitate strong relationships with providers and their staff
- Completing documentation necessary to track provider issues and facilitate the reporting of overall trends
- Developing knowledge of insurance packages and navigating high-volume settings

Requirements
* High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting
- Experience with computer and Windows PC applications, including the ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system applications
- Experience with listening skillfully, collecting relevant information, building rapport, and responding to customers in a compassionate manner
- Ability to work any 8-hour shift between the hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM from Monday - Friday, including occasional overtime based on business need
Preferred Qualifications
* 1 year of experience in a related environment (i.e. office, administrative, clerical, customer service, etc.) in a medical setting using phones and computers as the primary job tools
- 1 year of experience in a high-volume call center environment
Telecommuting Requirements
* Reside within the state of Oregon
- Ability to keep all company-sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
- Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
- Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group-approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
