Job Responsibilities

As an Experienced Data Scientist – RWE, you will be responsible for producing high-quality, actionable insights from real-world data to inform business decisions and drive growth. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Data Preparation: Develop and maintain standardized, evaluation-ready patient cohorts from in-house data properties or certified systems, examine and interpret results, and assist in forming analytics strategy.
• Collaboration: Partner with other members of the arenaflex Clinical Trial group to provide actionable insights from real-world, medical, and other data assets to support biopharmaceutical RWE and medical trial requests.
• Data Analysis: Perform data mining and statistical analysis to investigate RWE/RWD to identify new insights concerning patient populations and treatment results.
• Data Visualization: Build dashboards, analytics, and reports for internal and external consumption.
• Due Diligence: Conduct due diligence on new real-world data companies and perform RWD quality tests to inform investment decisions.

Essential Qualifications

* Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree or graduate degree in a quantitative or computational field, such as computer science, mathematics, statistics, or engineering.

• Programming Skills: Four years of experience in R, Python, or SQL.
• Statistical Analysis: Experience in designing and executing strong and reproducible statistical analyses in the context of epidemiology and observational studies with healthcare data.
• Data Management: Experience processing large data from diverse data sources.
• Healthcare Data: Experience handling covered patient health data.
• Data Visualization: Knowledge of at least one of the following: Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, Spotfire, or other BI intelligence tools.

Preferred Qualifications

* Advanced Degree: Ph.D. or Master's degree in a field such as statistics, biostatistics, computer science, mathematics, systems engineering, biomedical engineering, or a related field.

• EMR/Health IT: Expertise in electronic medical records (EMR) and health information technology (HIT), disease registries, and policy claims databases.
• Clinical Data Standards: Knowledge of medical data standards, clinical terminologies, and managed vocabularies used in healthcare data and ontologies (ICD9/10/ReadCode).
• Regulatory Compliance: Experience in Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and/or regulatory compliance guidelines for real-world evidence research or clinical trials (e.g., ISO, MDD/MDR, CFR).
• Experimental Design: Experience with experimental design, Bayesian modeling, sequential data, computational statistics.
• Self-Learning: Understanding of data and systems learning techniques, ability to maintain self-learning of technical and non-technical skills.
