Job Responsibilities

As a Data Scientist at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for providing numerical modeling and analysis services to support business decision-making. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and solve complex business problems using data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and implement statistical models and algorithms to analyze large datasets and identify trends and patterns

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand business needs and develop data-driven solutions
• Design and implement data visualization tools to communicate insights to non-technical stakeholders
• Develop and maintain large-scale data pipelines and architectures to support business intelligence and analytics
• Work with data engineers to design and implement data warehousing and business intelligence solutions
• Develop and maintain machine learning models to predict business outcomes and identify areas for improvement
• Collaborate with data scientists to develop and implement data-driven solutions to business problems
• Develop and maintain data quality and governance processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science and machine learning and apply them to business problems

Essential Qualifications:

* Postgraduate education (PhD or ABD) in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, or computer science

• Strong background in statistical modeling and analysis, including experience with machine learning algorithms and techniques
• Experience with programming languages such as R, Python, or Julia
• Strong business acumen and ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing business needs

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience with software engineering and formal high-level software engineering coursework

• 2+ years of professional experience in a data science or analytics role
• 1+ year of experience in the aviation industry
• Experience with Julia programming language
• Knowledge of arenaflex/industry data sources
• Organized programming for large-scale computer models
• Shown ability to create business value
