This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing packaging solutions for Electrical Power Systems products. The role ensures that all packaging designs meet structural, thermal, environmental, and manufacturability requirements while supporting the highest standards of quality and reliability. The engineer will be collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet customer needs.This role will be worked onsite in Santa Isabel, Puerto Rico. Typically, 4 days a week onsite, and 1 day remote pending business needs. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation assistance is not offered.What You Will Do:
- Troubleshoot and resolve packaging-related issues for electronic systems.
- Coordinate and drive timely closure of Supplier Request for Information (SRI) to mitigate disruptions in production schedules.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, suppliers, and engineering groups, to identify root causes of production issues and implement corrective actions.
- Support mechanical packaging tasks, ensuring compliance with design and manufacturing requirements.
- Maintain thorough documentation of engineering support activities, issue resolutions, and process improvements.
- Provide input to enhance production processes, product quality, and overall operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
- Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written)
- Applicable experience with electronics packaging, including circuit card assemblies (CCAs) and enclosures.
- Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Experience in engineering support within a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in aerospace or defense industries.
- Experience reading and interpreting assembly drawings, circuit card schematics, and assembly instructions.
- Familiarity with manufacturing equipment and quality assurance techniques.
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements for aerospace and defense products.
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
