Welder - Fabricator - Mechanical Technician (REQ 315) Overview: Applied Physical Sciences Corp (APS) seeks a highly skilled and motivated Welder Fabricator/ Mechanical Technician with a minimum of 5-10 years of hands-on experience in welding, fabrication and mechanical assembly. The ideal candidate will hold current American Welding Society (AWS) certifications or military equivalent in one or more of the following welding disciplines, GTAW(TIG), SMAW(Stick) and GMAW(MIG). This is a full-time position at our Pawcatuck, CT facility requiring daily collaboration with our Prototyping & Fabrication Department management team, engineering staff and fellow technicians. The successful candidate will be adaptable, personable, and have good communication skills while being capable of working independently or in a team atmosphere. APS works on exciting, technically challenging, research & development programs where multidisciplinary teams work closely to address difficult national security needs.
