What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)

As a Senior Customer Support Representative, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to Medicaid Providers and/or Members. Your primary duties will include:

  • Providing excellent customer service primarily by telephone, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Assisting customers with coverage and claims-related questions, ensuring that they have a clear understanding of their benefits and policy provisions
  • Accurately interpreting benefits and policy provisions for beneficiaries, providing clear and concise explanations to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Conducting research and follow-up for prompt resolution of disputed claims, working closely with internal stakeholders to resolve issues efficiently
  • Documenting calls clearly and consistently in our computer system, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements

What is Required (Qualifications)

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a call center environment, with a proven track record of providing exceptional customer service
  • Experience working in the healthcare industry, specifically with Medicaid or Medicare, with a deep understanding of the complexities and nuances of our business
  • The ability to follow written policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including professional telephone skills, with the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent; a 2-year post-high school degree or a Bachelor's degree is preferred, but not required

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

If you have experience in health/human services, familiarity with auto answer systems, or experience working in a metric-driven work environment, you'll be well-suited for this role. Additionally, prior office or clerical experience, as well as experience meeting specific service level agreements (SLAs), will be highly valued.
