The Role
We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Data Entry Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our data infrastructure group, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining our data systems. Your expertise will help us to deliver high-quality data-driven experiences to our users. This is a remote, part-time position that offers flexible hours and an opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, build, and maintain data systems that support our business needs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize data-driven initiatives
- Develop and implement data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes
- Work with data engineers, data scientists, and product managers to design and implement data-driven solutions
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in a timely and efficient manner
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data engineering and science
Focus Areas
* Data Set Access Stage: Design and build a flexible query interface that supports sub-millisecond latencies and enables Netflix microservices to store, consume, and manage their data efficiently.
- Data Stage Foundation: Develop a platform for our own data stages, enabling rapid innovation and deployment of cutting-edge data and analytics frameworks across the organization.
- Data Development and Handling: Offer a self-service, cloud-native platform for diverse client personas to meet their low-latency data development and handling needs.
- Big Data Figure: Design and build a cloud-native stage for distributed data handling at Netflix, supporting Flash, Presto/Trino, Druid, Icy mass, and distributed database frameworks.
- Big Data Arrangement: Develop a platform for planning, organizing, and executing big data jobs and workflows in a self-serve manner, incorporating essential services for ETL and ML jobs.

About You

- Experience in building and working with versatile, fault-tolerant, distributed systems.
- Knowledge of Java or other object-oriented programming languages.
- Familiarity with multi-threading and its challenges.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
