Automotive Extended Warranty – Claims Adjuster II – Work From Home

Protective is seeking a highly skilled and professional Automotive Claims Adjuster to join our remote team. In this role, you will be responsible for adjudicating claims, accurately receiving and assessing new losses, and documenting and investigating claims while maintaining an exceptionally high level of customer service. This position requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and professional service on phone inquiries while providing information regarding claim processing and coverage.
  • Authorize claims and answer a high volume of inbound calls.
  • Process and complete all paperwork according to established procedures.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, Attributes:

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to think quickly and independently.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Empathetic listening skills, good judgment, and critical thinking to determine when issues should be escalated.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional and friendly demeanor.

Qualifications:

  • 1 year minimum experience using "StoneEagle" menu and administration software.
  • 2+ years of experience in an automotive service environment as an Automotive Technician or Service Writer/Advisor.
  • Experience using various modern computer systems, software applications, and communication tools.
  • Demonstrated experience in resolving conflict and creating customer satisfaction in difficult situations.
  • Previous customer service experience in an inbound call center or similar environment is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of a high school diploma; some college education preferred.

Important Details:

  • 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7 AM – 7 PM CST/CDT, with a rotating Saturday every 6-8 weeks. Anticipated shift is 10am-7pm CDT for new hires.

$50,000 – $57,000 a year Protective’s targeted salary range for this position is $50,000-$57,000 annually. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors, including but not limited to, job location, skills, and experience. The range listed is just one component of Protective’s total compensation package for employees. This position also offers additional incentive opportunities through an annual incentive based on individual and Company performance.
