Job Responsibilities
As a Specialty Pharmacy Technician, you'll be responsible for:
- Helping patients through the phone to place new and reorder existing medication orders
- Staying mindful of correspondence with suppliers, controlled substances, and co-pay assistance programs
- Ordering and stocking medications and supplies
- Maintaining patient records and stock processes, including inventory management and data entry
- Providing exceptional customer service and support to patients and healthcare providers
- Collaborating with the pharmacy team to ensure accurate and timely medication dispensing
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medication lists and treatment plans
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and pharmacy operations
- Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines
Essential Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent required
- PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board) certification and California State Board of Pharmacy registration required
- 1-2 years of experience in a specialty pharmacy or related field

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in data entry and computer software applications
