Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Gear Engineer to join our team at arenaflex. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for supporting our crew across all disciplines, identifying workflow inefficiencies, and implementing solutions to enhance crew performance and productivity. You will collaborate with our artwork, layout, and engineering groups to streamline our improvement process and help us create high-quality games.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with our crew to identify workflow inefficiencies, pain points, and troubles in our improvement process
- Work with our artwork, layout, and engineering groups to generate candidate solutions, weigh tradeoffs, and implement the selected answer
- Assist in the development, preservation, and extension of arenaflex's proprietary engine-specific and custom gear
- Build and guide custom asset pipelines
- Grow arenaflex's proprietary libraries, tools, and technologies across game engines and structures
- Proactively identify areas for improvement in our improvement process across disciplines
- Develop and implement solutions to enhance crew performance and productivity
Essential Qualifications
* A strong passion for empowering others to do their best work
- Experience with the overall device lifecycle, including identifying issues, comparing capacity answers, implementing tools, and evaluating their effectiveness
- Proficiency in operating with custom standalone gear
- Ability to work efficiently in a self-directed environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with custom game engines, including Unreal or Unity
- Knowledge of JavaScript and Net Tech
- Familiarity with required utility materials
- Experience with C#, C++, and Python
- Strong understanding of game development principles and practices
