- Plan for and deliver quality specials education instruction and related activities.
- Knowledge of PBIS, Multi- Tiered Systems of Support
- Familiarity with Tiered Systems of Support, both academically and behaviorally
- Experience working with students of varying academic, social and emotional abilities
- Possess good communication and organizational skills
- Ability to hold conversations with teachers about student achievement data
- Ability to plan and coordinate with general education teachers
- Ability to coordinate/organize a variety of school-level performances, programming, and student events
- Ability to maintain accurate records and meet multiple deadlines
- A desire to continue to grow as a professional
- Demonstrate knowledge, skill, and ability to provide instruction in an elementary music setting with appropriate musical skills for singing, playing, conducting, and musical literature necessary for the realization of grade level standards
- Understands diversity of student learning styles and can skillfully prepare and apply differentiated learning experiences
- Demonstrates ability to use data to drive instructional decisions
- Computer literate with a proven proficiency to effectively apply and integrate technology to support meaningful teaching and successful student learning
- Experience/training in Restorative Practices, PLCs, and Trauma Informed Care is preferred
- Ability to develop/sustain positive working relationships with students, staff, and the school community
- Motivates students and influences their behavior
- Creates and executes clear, logical instructional plans collaboratively that produce strong results in student learning
- Maintains and communicates standards of pupil behavior and classroom management expectations for the purpose of providing a safe and secure learning environment
- Creates and thrives in a professional environment that is one of mutual respect, teamwork, and accountability
- Maintain the drive for results by using data informed decision making, demonstrating persistence, directness, and the ability to monitor and plan ahead
