Pediatric Home Care RN

What we are looking for We currently have a 11 year old male client in the Chesnee area. He is diagnosed with diabetes, muscular dystrophy & respiratory failure. Client is needing assistance with all daily living skills, G-Tube feeds & suctioning. He is immobile, he has a lift & wheelchair in home. Client is on a ventilator & trach. Respiratory needs include cough assistance & nebulizer treatments. Schedule is Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays & Fridays 3:15-8:15pm Who we are Axcess is a home care provider that services children with special needs and disabilities across the state of South Carolina. We are contracted with Community Long Term Care and the Department of Disabilities and Special Needs to provide care to children who qualify for aide services. We are hiring for multiple children across the state so please be sure to check all our listings. What we do Our goal is to provide compassionate nursing care to children while giving parents piece of mind during your visit. Each child is unique in the activities they need assistance with but may include: ~medication administration~catheter care~tracheostomy care~wound care~ventilator care~assistance with ADLs~accompanying parents to appointments and therapies As a Home Care RN, you may also be required to assist with light housekeeping and laundry as well. This service is aimed to help the child and the parents/guardians. Qualifications To be qualified as a Home Care RN you must:

1. Have an active RN license to practice in SC
2. Have one year of clinical experience
3. Annual TB tests; if expired Axcess covers the cost of the test
4. Have current CPR certification; if expired Axcess can direct you to training sites
5. Pass a background (SLED) check
6. Pass a drug test
7. Be physically able to provide care to a child with special needs
8. Have a valid drivers license and insured transportation
