Job Summary: The substitute custodian fills in during the absence of other custodial staff and performs general cleaning, maintenance and repairs to provide pleasant and safe surroundings for staff and students.
Qualifications:
- Thorough knowledge of safety principles and practices
- Experience in the commercial cleaning industry
- Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electricity and painting
- Thorough knowledge of materials and equipment used in maintaining buildings and grounds
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to do heavy lifting, climb stairs repeatedly and stand for extended periods of time
