Life Claims Processor

Northwest Administrators, Inc. is an industry leader in third-party administration of employee benefits. They are seeking an experienced Life Claims Processor to handle life claims accurately and in accordance with specific plan requirements, while ensuring timely processing and follow-up on claims.

Responsibilities

  • Process life claims accurately, thoroughly and according to plan requirements
  • Follow up on claims needing additional information
  • Pay, pend, or deny based on established claims criteria
  • Monitor “inbox” to ensure that claims and referrals are handled timely
  • Special projects as assigned

Skills

  • Minimum 1 year experience in medical claims processing
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including interpersonal skills
  • Organized and able to juggle and prioritize workloads
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Passionate about customer service
  • Attentive to detail with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with technology, intermediate level Excel and Word
