Employment Litigation Associate Attorney - Long Island

Kaufman Dolowich LLP is a nationally recognized law firm seeking an Employment Litigation Associate Attorney with at least one year of experience in commercial and/or employment litigation. The role involves managing a full litigation caseload, communicating with clients, and participating in various litigation activities including depositions and trials.

Responsibilities

  • Managing a full litigation caseload from inception through resolution
  • Communicating directly with clients and providing regular case updates
  • Taking and defending depositions
  • Handling mediations
  • Participating in investigations, court appearances, motion practice, and trials

Skills

  • 1+ years of experience in commercial and/or employment litigation
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree required
  • Admission to practice in New York
  • Exceptional writing, research, and communication skills
  • Law Review and/or Moot Court experience preferred
  • Employment litigation matters, including employment discrimination, workplace harassment, wage and hour disputes, and traditional labor law matters
  • Federal and state wage and hour cases, including collective and class actions
  • Investigations before the U.S. Department of Labor, New York State Department of Labor, EEOC, and other state and local human rights agencies
