Journalist Outreach Specialist

We are looking for a Journalist Outreach Specialist to help us get media coverage through direct outreach and creative PR campaigns.

This role is focused on building real relationships with journalists and getting placements through strong pitching, not just replying to platforms. You will research journalists, create story ideas, and reach out with personalized emails that stand out.

Key Responsibilities:

• Media Pitching: Crafting compelling, tailored stories and pitching them to journalists, editors, and bloggers to secure placements.
• Relationship Management: Building and nurturing long-term relationships with journalists to improve future placement chances.
• Link Building & SEO: Securing backlinks from reputable media outlets to boost search engine authority.
• Follow-ups: Persistently following up on stories and opportunities in a professional manner. 

Required Qualifications

• Exceptional written English with a "pitchy" or persuasive tone.
• Proven track record of securing media placements and backlinks
• Previous experience in public relations, digital PR, or sales.
• Data-driven mindset (using reports, surveys, or insights to pitch stories)
• Familiarity with tools like Muck Rack, Prowly, Cision, BuzzStream, or Ahrefs.
• Ability to identify the right journalists and publications for specific niches.
• Persistence in the face of rejection or no response.
