Sr. Business Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst with a strong background in Healthcare or Life Sciences to lead requirements gathering, stakeholder management, process analysis, and solution design for healthcare technology initiatives. The candidate will partner with cross‑functional teams across business, IT, and product to drive high‑quality delivery of digital and operational transformation projects.

Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Requirements

  • Lead end-to-end business analysis activities for healthcare projects—requirements gathering, documentation, validation, and sign-off.
  • Conduct detailed AS-IS and TO-BE process analysis, identifying gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
  • Translate business needs into clear and structured business requirements (BRDs), functional requirements (FRDs), user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Support solution design discussions and ensure alignment with business objectives and compliance requirements.

Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product owners, clinicians, operations teams, and IT teams.
  • Facilitate requirement workshops, JAD sessions, user interviews, and cross-functional meetings.
  • Manage expectations, communicate project risks, and ensure timely decision-making.

Healthcare Domain Expertise

  • Strong understanding of healthcare operations, payer-provider workflows, regulatory and compliance requirements (HIPAA, FDA guidelines, GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, etc.).
  • Experience in one or more areas:
    • Provider Network Management
    • Claims Processing
    • Patient Engagement / Care Management
    • Medical Records & EMR/EHR Systems
    • Clinical Operations / R&D
    • Healthcare Analytics
    • Veeva Vault/CRM, LIMS, or other industry tools

Project Delivery

  • Work closely with project managers, architects, QA teams, and developers to ensure smooth and effective implementation.
  • Support test planning, UAT coordination, and validation of delivered functionality.
  • Ensure traceability across requirements, test cases, and delivery milestones.
  • Contribute to project documentation, risk logs, and status reporting.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 10+ years of total experience with at least 7+ years in the Healthcare or Life Sciences domain.
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst on enterprise-scale projects.
  • Excellent knowledge of healthcare workflows, data standards (HL7, FHIR, ICD, CPT), and regulatory environments.
  • Strong ability to analyze complex business processes and propose practical solutions.
  • Proficiency with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, MS Office, BPM tools, etc.
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong documentation expertise with attention to detail.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum and Waterfall methodologies.
