Paralegal, Edmond
Law Offices of Robert S. Gitmeid & Associates is a consumer protection law firm located in New York City, dedicated to representing clients facing challenges from creditors. They are seeking a full-time Paralegal with civil litigation experience to assist attorneys in managing litigation matters and provide administrative support in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assisting the firm’s attorneys in managing a high volume of litigation matters
- Drafting pleadings, legal memoranda, settlement agreements, etc
- Communication with clients and opposing counsel
- Research with regard to simple and complex legal matters
- Administrative responsibilities such as client intake, organizing, and record keeping
Skills
- Minimum of 1-year civil litigation experience (e.g., drafting pleadings and legal research)
- Exceptional legal writing skills
- Possess superior organizational and time-management skills
- Must be computer literate: Ability to easily learn the Firm's case management software
- Highest ethical standards and professional integrity
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with clients, staff, and outside parties
- Prior experience with Salesforce is a plus
- Paralegal Certification is a plus
