About the position Cedar Brook Property sponsored real estate investment company is seeking an exceptional candidate to join the team for the position of Senior Real Estate Transaction Specialist. We are seeking a team player with strong phone, verbal, written, and organizational skills. We are a national real estate investor who purchases homes for renovation and resale across markets nationally. Our business model revitalizes existing residential property to provide affordable, renovated homes for new homeowners. The Sr. Real Estate Transaction Specialist is responsible for managing all aspects of our single-family residential real estate transactions. This includes managing multiple contracts, updating and maintaining transaction documents, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, and communicating with all parties involved in the transaction. The base salary range for this position is $75,000 to $100,000 with an annual bonus. This role can be remote anywhere in the country.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and coordinate all phases of the real estate transaction process, including offer acceptance, contract review, inspections, appraisals, title searches, closing documents, and coordination of funding.
  • Provide oversight and management of transaction coordinator duties related to the purchasing and sales of residential real estate
  • Review and analyze real estate contracts and related documents.
  • Ensure brokerage compliance and provide support for the transaction team in doing so
  • Use autonomy when negotiating real estate contracts.
  • Manage calendars and track key contract dates.
  • Responsible for the transaction management process oversight and the resulting input of escrow data into the company’s accounting system.
  • Ensure all transactions comply with local, state, and federal regulations. Provide training for reports to comply with these requirements.
  • Act as the senior contact for all transaction-related matters providing support for team members who serve as the primary contact at the Senior Transaction Specialists delegation
  • Act as the go-between for stakeholders ensuring accurate and effective problem-solving of all escrow tracking and closing issues.
  • Responsible for daily and weekly reporting to senior leadership.
  • Review and process contract cancellations, amendments, and holdbacks facilitated by the transaction team.
  • Work with the acquisitions managers while conducting thorough due diligence on potential real estate deals, including market analysis, property inspections, and financial assessments.
  • Provide ongoing training and updates to the acquisitions team regarding emerging issues at the transaction level
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with real estate transactions.
  • Responsible for the accuracy of post-close, updated accounting and project management software
  • Oversee sales Coordinator communication with listing agents and weekly updates, collecting key listing data, making updates as necessary to senior management
  • Responsible for the management and implementation of best practices for transaction management, driving process improvement for the transaction management team
  • Other duties as assigned by leadership

Requirements

  • 5+ years of residential real estate transaction experience required.
  • Extensive experience in reviewing real estate and mortgage documentation.
  • Experience processing transactions on a nationwide level.
  • Valid driver’s license (may require occasional driving).
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make independent decisions.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines.
  • An advanced level of experience with Excel is recommended.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and other related software programs.
  • Must possess a professional attitude to represent the company positively.

Nice-to-haves

  • Preference for experience with institutional Single Family Rental operators or property management firms focused on institutional Single Family Rental management.
  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field is a plus but not required.
  • Active Real Estate license is preferred.
