Software Engineer, Server - Rider Pay

Lyft is a company dedicated to serving and connecting communities, and they are seeking a Software Engineer for their Rider Pay team. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and enhance payment systems that provide financial benefits to riders, ensuring seamless transactions and a positive user experience.

Responsibilities

• Write well-crafted, well-tested, readable, maintainable code
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and distribute knowledge
• Participate in our teams oncall rotation. Identify, triage, debug and resolve issues/bugs across our various applications and platforms
• Have the ability to explain the various trade offs made in decisions
• Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
• Participate in AI-augmented development workflows for code review, testing, and documentation
• Contribute to reusable platform capabilities to transition from product-by-product solutioning to scalable, config-driven infrastructure

Skills

• BS/MS or equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent practical experience
• Experience with Python, Go
• Proficiency in object-oriented programming
• Experience working with data structures or algorithms
• Ability to work with a low-ego, highly collaborative, and cross-functional team
• Write well-crafted, well-tested, readable, maintainable code
