Experienced After-Hours Customer Service Representative – Elderly Home Based Care and Support

The Role
As an After-Hours Customer Service Representative, you'll be working in a fully remote position, based in South Africa, with a unique schedule that offers flexibility and work-life balance. You'll be part of a dynamic team that's dedicated to providing 24/7 support to our clients and caregivers. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Answering all incoming calls and resolving client and nurse queries within the scope of after-hours support
- Providing timely responses to queries that come in through our texting platform
- Notifying clients and replacing caregiver callouts as necessary
- Confirming caregivers 1-2 hours before shift start
- Performing initial intake for callers potentially interested in our services
- Documenting all scenarios on our platform, as well as updating caregiver schedules as needed
- Completing non-urgent Admin projects if time allows
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Fluent English: You'll need to be fluent in English, both written and spoken, to effectively communicate with our clients and caregivers.
- Compassionate and Confident: You'll need to be compassionate, empathetic, and confident in your ability to handle sensitive and complex situations.
- Responsible and Reliable: You'll need to be responsible and reliable, with a strong work ethic and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
- 10+ years' work experience in customer service and office duties: You'll need to have a minimum of 10 years' experience in customer service and office duties, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality service.
- Adaptable and Flexible: You'll need to be adaptable and flexible regarding work hours, with the ability to work a 3-day week with 4-hour shifts per day, and a Saturday and Sunday shift of 12 hours per day.
- Impeccable phone and computer skills: You'll need to have excellent phone and computer skills, with the ability to navigate our platform and software with ease.
- Staffing and/or health care experience: You'll need to have experience in staffing and/or health care, with a strong understanding of the industry and its challenges.
- Experience working remotely and independently: You'll need to have experience working remotely and independently, with the ability to work effectively in a home-based environment.
- Quiet and professional work-from-home environment: You'll need to have a quiet and professional work-from-home environment, with a reliable internet connection and a backup plan for load-shedding.
