Software Developer - Intern

Nightwing provides technically advanced full-spectrum cyber and data operations services to meet demanding challenges. They are seeking a motivated and talented Entry-Level Software Engineer to design, develop, document, test, and debug control and diagnostic systems for a U.S. Government customer on a critical development program.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, document, test, and debug control and diagnostic systems
• Conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with equipment designers to plan and develop electronic data processing systems
• Analyze system capabilities to determine end-user needs and resolve program intent, output requirements, and input data acquisition
• Ensure compliance with hardware and software standards
• Design and implement build procedures to support hardware and software product development and use
• Develop software configuration standards for company-wide use, as needed
• Train software developers in the use of configuration management tools and software quality standards, as applicable
• Contribute to control modeling (model-based design)

Skills

• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field) or equivalent experience
• Less than 2 years of prior relevant experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with software development tools and methodologies
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Knowledge of software configuration management tools and quality standards is a plus
