[Remote] Bilingual Disability Calculation Analyst

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Manulife is a leading international financial services provider, and they are seeking a Bilingual Disability Calculation Analyst to join their National Life, Disability & Wellness Team. The role involves calculating disability benefits, communicating with plan members regarding overpayments, and collaborating with case management teams to improve financial outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Calculate and code offsets and the adjusted LTD benefit in Navigator
• Inform Plan Member of the overpayment amount with clear explanations both verbally and in writing
• Follow-up with Plan Member for reimbursement of overpayment and negotiate an acceptable repayment plan when necessary
• Proceed with claim recoveries in Navigator
• Collaborate with the Case Management teams to strengthen financial results
• Work closely with other colleagues to prioritize work especially during peak times

Skills

• Fully bilingual (French/English): The successful candidate will be required to communicate in English and French in order to support clients from various jurisdictions outside of Quebec
• Strong customer service focus; ability to be empathetic while delivering sometimes difficult messages
• Strong math skills
• Very comfortable with Office 365; most notably Excel and Word
• Able to read and interpret group insurance contracts and apply their provisions
• Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written
• Strong negotiation skills
• Experience with Navigator is an asset
• Experience in disability benefit calculations is helpful
• Open to change and continuous improvement
• A capacity for constant learning from both success and failure
