About the position Responsibilities • Enter information from the tracking forms into the Medical Management System • Process referrals and forward specific referrals to appropriate departments • Maintain database and documentation • Enter and update data in the Immunization database • Conduct outreach to parents/guardians of members whose immunizations are not up-to-date • Contact members via telephone and/or mail on child health and wellness related topics • Communicate with providers on member related issues • Make follow-up calls to members who do not show to their scheduled doctor visits to identify possible obstacles • Outreach to members referred to services to verify that needs have been met • Perform all other duties as assigned Requirements • 1 year of experience in health insurance or other health care related field • High School Diploma or GED in general field of study • Knowledge of Medicaid regulations and guidelines • Knowledge of childhood immunization requirements • Familiarity with medical terminology • Computer experience in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook • Effective time management skills • Problem solving abilities • Ability to prioritize work tasks to adhere to deadlines and identified time frames • Typing speed of 35-40 wpm Nice-to-haves • 1 year of experience in a managed care organization or related healthcare delivery system • Knowledge of the AHCCCS EPSDT program Apply tot his job
