Job Summary
As an Operations Manager at NextEra Energy, you'll play a critical role in overseeing and optimizing our operational processes and teams to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and alignment with our mission. You'll lead cross-functional teams, develop and implement operational strategies, and drive performance improvements across departments. Key Responsibilities
As an Operations Manager, you'll be responsible for:
Operational Leadership:
Lead and manage cross-functional teams focused on operational improvements, ensuring alignment with company goals.
Performance Management:
Set and monitor KPIs and other performance metrics to assess operational effectiveness and guide decision-making.
Process Optimization:
Identify opportunities for process enhancement and cost reduction, implementing best practices to improve operational efficiency.
Project Management:
Manage multiple projects with strong organizational skills, ensuring timely completion within budget constraints.
Strategic Decision-Making:
Utilize strong decision-making skills to address challenges and propose actionable solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Team Development:
Mentor and develop team members, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
Stakeholder Communication:
Foster effective communication among team members and across departments to encourage collaboration and information sharing.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
Experience:
Minimum of 8 years of experience in operations management, preferably within the energy or utility sector.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a closely related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in project management software and operational analytics tools. Strong computer skills, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint).
Personality Traits:
Dedicated to achieving organizational goals and maintaining high standards of work. Independent, self-motivated, and capable of working effectively in a remote setting.
Soft Skills:
Exceptional decision-making capabilities with a focus on strategic problem-solving. Strong planning abilities and attention to detail, ensuring thoroughness in operational initiatives.
