If you have the qualities and drive to lead yourself or teams, there are roles ready to cultivate your skills and take you to the next level.Job Description:The Warehouse Worker position is a physical, fast-paced, and labor-intensive role within a warehouse environment that involves sorting/stocking packages as well as loading and unloading them into and out of UPS package delivery vehicles and trailers.Job Type: Part-Time PermanentWork Location: 2900 Steeles Ave West, Concord ON L4K 3S2Workdays: Monday to Friday (Must be available to work all 5 days)Shift Hours: 6:00 PM to 11:00PM * (Flexibility with start and finish times required based on operational needs) *Shift Duration: 3-5 hours a dayHourly Wage: $17.80/hr. (base rate of $17.75/hr. + an hourly bonus of $.0.05)KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:• Load and unload packages into package delivery vehicles and trailers• Learn and properly execute company-established package handling methods• Sort and stock packages based on postal codesREQUIREMENTS:• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. (32kg) unassisted. Typical package weight ranges from 25-35 lbs.• Full availability to work Monday through Friday (all five days of the week)• Must be able to work 25 hours per week• Ability to read and memorize postal codes• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment• Comfortable working inside truck trailers and package delivery vehicles• No prior warehouse experience requiredCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:• Pay rate of $17.80/hr.(base rate of $17.30/hr. + an hourly bonus of $0.50)• Automatic pay rate progression as per the existing Union Collective Agreement to $28.71/hr. after 48 months of service• Tuition reimbursement up to $2,000 per semester (subject to eligibility, program approval, and satisfactory academic performance)• Paid training• Weekly Pay via Direct Deposit- Every Friday• Personal paid days off (Eligibility Requirements)• 2 weeks of paid vacation after 1 year of service (3 weeks after 5 years, 4 weeks after 10 years, 5 weeks after 20 years, and 6 weeks after 25 years) • Extended Health Care Benefits (Vision, health, life insurance, and dental benefits after one year of service)• Immediate access to UPS 'Employee Discounts'• Employee Assistance Program (EAP)• Employee Referral Bonus Program (conditions apply)• Free Onsite Parking• Opportunity for advancement within a Fortune 50 CompanyEXPENSES/WORKING CONDITIONS:• Monthly union dues (approximately $52/month)• A union initiation fee of $50 (will be deducted after completing 90 working days with UPS)• Exposed to changing temperatures while working in a warehouse environmentUPS is a diverse and equal opportunity employer.
