Focus Areas in Information Framework Groups

Our information framework groups are divided into several focus areas, including:

• Database Access Platform: Building and operating a flexible query gateway that facilitates data abstractions to work at sub-millisecond latencies while allowing Netflix microservices to more easily store, consume, and manage their data.
• Data Platform Infrastructure: Acting as a platform for our own data platforms, enabling Netflix to quickly simplify giving cutting-edge data and analytics systems to the rest of the company without building custom-made platforms for each new system.
• Data Ingestion and Processing: Offering a pre-occupied self-service cleared path item to enable varied client personas across Netflix to meet their low-latency Data Ingestion and Processing needs.
• Big Data Figure: Responsible for providing the cloud-native platform for distributed data processing at Netflix, offering support for Flash, ETL data into the Petabytes-scale data warehouse, and access to that data using Flash and Voila/TrinoDB.
• Big Data Orchestration: Offering the platform for planning, organizing, and executing big data jobs and workflows in a self-serve way, including essential services that have all ETL and ML jobs running on Big Data Frameworks at Netflix.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• A Bachelor's degree in a related field
• At least 2 years of experience in building large-scale distributed systems components or applications
• Proficiency in the design and development of RESTful web services
• Experience in building and operating scalable, fault-tolerant, distributed systems
• Knowledge of Java or other object-oriented programming languages
